Cold and more Cold!

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are staying warm today.

Winter  is here, and I know that means cold weather....but......this weather got my attention. I am defintely a southern gal and its a good thing I don't live  farther north than Georgetown, KY.  However, on the positive side of this weather....the sun has been out for a couple of days which makes it  a little easier to have the illusion of warmth.

I have been trying to post pictures to the blog for about an hour now.....am just not getting it done today. Somedays it works and other days I cannot seem to get it working for me.  Can you tell I am aggravated.  I will continue to try and attach some pictures today...I will not let this get the best of me...haha.

I did want to let everyone know that I got my Kentucky Crafted Market booth assignment.  I will be in Booth 348.

The Market will take place again this year at the Lexington Convention Center, downtown Lexington, KY.  The dates are March 2nd and 3rd.  I look forward to seeing at The Market.

I am also attaching, (I hope) a link
http://artscouncil.ky.gov/KentuckyArt/2013Market.htm which lists all the exciting events that will be going on at the Market.  Come and have a good time.

I am working on new paintings...(just sold 2 yesterday to a returning customer)....yeah..... so I will have to get back to the easel and paint, paint and paint some more.

Also, if anyone is interested in taking afternoon classes in pastel, I am again teaching at The Art Zone  @ Art Works  in Georgetown, KY.  These workshops are so much fun.  I will attach (hopefully) the information and would love to see you at either of these workshops. Info is available through me  at pmclegg@bellsouth.net or 502-316-2896...or info@scottcountyartworks.org .

WARM Blessings to you all.

Pam

Happy New Year....Just a little late!

Happy New Year to everyone.....just a little late...but no less sincere.

Painting/marketing/workshops/shows/commissions and art business took a back seat this Christmas season.  I have spent the last few weeks enjoying some much needed time relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

I have spent some quiet time reflecting on the previous year .....so much joy, so little sorrow and a  profound  gratefulness and gratitude for so many blessings.

We had our first snow  Saturday after Christmas while  I was out of town visiting  my mom. I missed watching the snow falling,  but...... what a wonderful coming home present.... four inches of beautiful  snow.

My youngest son Paul surprised me on Christmas... and how I love a surprise!  I am typing this blog on my new IPad. Thank you Paul.....I guess this is payback for all those breakfasts I have cooked.........just kidding!

I am back at the easel painting and getting ready for Kentucky Craft Market, which is  March 2nd and 3rd at the Lexington  Convention Center in downtown Lexington, KY.

Applications, Applications, Applications...... I am  in the process of sending applications to juried art shows that I hope to participate in this year,....always  a nerve racking process until you hear that you are/are not accepted.

I will update my web site with a list of shows and jury acceptance as I apply and hear from the shows.

Wishing each of you  Blessings and Joy during the coming year.
